Silvex has been engaged in out-grower schemes since 2018 in Kano and Jigawa States. The major crops produced under the out-grower schemes are rice, groundnut and sesame. Since 2018, Silvex has produced over 2,500 hectares of rice, 750 hectares of groundnut and 500 hectares of sesame under out-grower schemes across more 27 LGAs in Kano and Jigawa States. The Silvex out-grower model has been extremely successful with more than 90% of recovery guaranteed every season. Rice is produced during both dry and rainy seasons while groundnut and sesame are only produced in the rainy season.

Silvex International Limited is engaged in direct production of rice, sesame, groundnut, soybean, and maize since 2015. Silvex produce for both its’ milling plants and for the general grain market. Production is done on the company land and on land hired across various locations in North-Western and North-Central Nigeria. All our production is done under strict compliance with recommended agronomic practices and according to the requirements of our off takers.

Silvex International is one of the major food aggregators under the Nigeria Home Grown School Feeding (HGSG) program of the National Social Investment Projects. The school feeding program is intended to give effect to three distinct rights: the right to food, right to education and right to freedom from disease or right to health. Silvex is one of the major suppliers of rice that is used for feeding over 1.3 million primary school children in Kano State. In addition, Silvex is one of the major aggregators of rice for the Kano State Government Ministry of Education School Feeding Program.

Silvex International recently signed an MOU for the establishment of the Nassarawa State Agro-Commodity Company Ltd (NASSACO). The company is based on a tripartite agreement between Silvex International, Nassarawa State Government and Vertmance Group with Silvex International controlling 65% of the company shares. The company is involved in production, aggregation and processing of major agricultural commodities like rice, soybean, sesame, groundnut, maize and cassava. The company is starting up with production in 10,000 hectares contiguous land in Nassarawa State.
